Engineer (Fire Protection)

Reporting to Civil Manager. Responsible for EPC work of Fire Protection & Detection System and HVAC of power plant station. Responsible for Construction work of HVAC of power plant station. Plan and prepare station requirements (subcon, suppliers, materials, equipment) base on baseline program and work with technical/contracts department to finalize and submit for approval. Achieve progress in accordance with programs and within budget. Control the usage and minimize wastages of major building materials such as Ducting, pipe, amongst other materials. Carry out daily team meetings and site inspection with project staff and produce tasks and action plan notes. Prepare daily/weekly/monthly progress report for Manager to review. Liaise with Owner/ site team/ subcontractors on the scheduling and execution of all structural/ architectural/ M&E works. Manage safety / underground services diversion and temporary works. Control subcontractors and suppliers for the timely closure of issues relating to quality and safety. Plan and prepare MSRA/Documents for necessary permit base on baseline program, including government and owner (company) permit, and work with technical/contracts department to finalize and submit for approval. To monitor and supervise sub contractor’s work progression. Review and align Fire protection design drawings to ensure compliance with design specifications and guidelines. Knowledge in M&E and able to Identify discrepancies between M&E, structural, ID, architectural and client provisions. Plan and lead testing and commissioning of the fire protection systems.
